Grounds Lead Success Profile

Position Overview

The Grounds Lead will support the company by gaining an understanding of all critical functions including managing fluctuating numbers of grounds staff, maintaining sprinkler systems, conducting emergency maintenance (EM), preventive maintenance (PM), and project work and other tasks as assigned.

This role will accomplish the following outcomes:

First 90 Days

  • Be trained in the Wavetronix 'soft' skills (specifically SLII), as this will help you capture the deep culture that Wavetronix aspires to
  • Capture the purpose of the Hobble Creek Campus
  • Build relationships with fellow Hobble Creek team members
  • Work collaboratively with the Hobble Creek Gardens Lead Link

First Year and Beyond

  • Oversee all EM, PM, and project work as assigned by the Hobble Creek Gardens Lead Link
  • Oversee all work orders and project work as assigned from Landscape Help-desk queue
  • When necessary, manage the WeatherTrak water management system
  • Initiate and maintain fertigation systems
  • Direct crew in mowing, fertilizing, weeding and pest control
  • Observe tree, sod and plant conditions and take action necessary in keeping them in good condition
  • Replace plants as necessary
  • Oversee bird feeder program
  • Establish maintenance program on grounds equipment
  • Aid floral 2 lead when requested
  • Participate in preparations for company activities

Working Conditions

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds.
  • This role could require travel from time to time.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
