Position Overview

Provide professional dining services to the Wavetronix family by being purposeful, inclusive, and innovative in the food provided.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3 years of catering or events experience
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Menu development experience preferred

    This role will accomplish the following:

    First Six Months

    • Enthusiastically participate in personal development and onboarding training
    • Become familiar with and aligned in the vision of Hobble Creek Downtown and the culinary programs and strategies
    • Assist Downtown leadership in developing and driving dining service logistics
    • Become our resident expert with needed software and oversee the training and management of the system
    • Establish working relationships with the Coop, events, and culinary groups
    • Assist in supervising and training all staff and services
    • Manage the day-to-day operations working closely with all connected groups
    • Provide leadership for food and beverage services as needed

    Six Months and Beyond

    • Ensure that our internal and external remote services meet expectations
    • Help define and measure how we innovate, and improve experiences provided
    • Monitor staff performance, ensure that the operations are running well, and that experiences meet expectations
    • Work with Production Lead to comply with all food health and safety regulations for each event
    • Assist with annual planning and goal setting for catering and events operations.

    Working Conditions

    • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects.
    • This role could require travel from time to time.
    • The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
    • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures and precipitation, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
