Position Overview
Provide professional dining services to the Wavetronix family by being purposeful, inclusive, and innovative in the food provided.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3 years of catering or events experience
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Critical thinking skills
- Menu development experience preferred
This role will accomplish the following:
First Six Months
- Enthusiastically participate in personal development and onboarding training
- Become familiar with and aligned in the vision of Hobble Creek Downtown and the culinary programs and strategies
- Assist Downtown leadership in developing and driving dining service logistics
- Become our resident expert with needed software and oversee the training and management of the system
- Establish working relationships with the Coop, events, and culinary groups
- Assist in supervising and training all staff and services
- Manage the day-to-day operations working closely with all connected groups
- Provide leadership for food and beverage services as needed
Six Months and Beyond
- Ensure that our internal and external remote services meet expectations
- Help define and measure how we innovate, and improve experiences provided
- Monitor staff performance, ensure that the operations are running well, and that experiences meet expectations
- Work with Production Lead to comply with all food health and safety regulations for each event
- Assist with annual planning and goal setting for catering and events operations.
Working Conditions
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects.
- This role could require travel from time to time.
- The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures and precipitation, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
